BIC Media Now Available for Distributors and Retail Partners
The first distributor will use BIC Media with the publishing distribution division, Vereinigten Verlagsauslieferung (VVA - arvato media GmbH). The media inventory and the information and finance service of VVA are fully integrated into this solution. VVA therefore provides an integrated complete solution for the distribution of physical and digital media. The existing components of VVA are transferred to the digital field and the proven functions of BIC Media are used.
Negotiations are currently being conducted with other distributors on the use of BIC Media for the distribution of digital products. Several retail partners, among them Hugendubel in Munich, have already indicated that they will integrate BIC Media and the E-Book module in order to distribute E-Books to their customers via this platform. As a first step in this direction, E-Books from the publishing groups Lübbe and Oldenbourg will be available. More details to follow.
