BIC Media Audio Module: Delivering your audio books to new markets
Publishers are increasingly recognizing audio as another field of business, in addition to electronic books. Compared with e-books, publishers are presented with complex tasks that go far beyond the distribution of individual files. The variety of formats and qualitative requirements of various retailers pose a growing number of problems for publishers.
BIC Media, with the new Audio Module, is supporting employees of publishing companies in dealing with audio files and distributes the files to the affiliated retailers. Here, too, the publisher can decide if they themselves want to take charge of distribution to the end customer, or if they trust the retailer to do this. If the publisher decides to distribute through BIC Media, the MP3 files can be protected by Fraunhofer watermarking so that the buyer of the title can be clearly identified at all times.
